Application Process
A site survey to determine suitability of surface to lay on is required.
If tarmac is raveling or is in very poor condition then repairs may need to be undertaken or a tarmac overlay in some cases.
If concrete is cracked etc. then repairs may need to be carried out also.
If you have a new project and have no tarmac down at this stage then we can arrange every thing from start to finish.
The Process for Resin Bonded Aggregate
* Suitably prepare surface by removing all loose material.
* Surface must be clean and dry.Mask off all kerbs gullies etc.
* Sealer coat may be required at this stage in some cases
* Mix two pack epoxy resin with mechanical drill
* Pour mixed resin onto prepared surface and spread with squeegee
* Scatter loose aggregate onto resin covering the complete area
* After curing is complete (usually 2 hours @ 15-20 degrees celcius) sweep up all excess stone
* Vechicles can drive over the surface within 12 hours
* Typical application (100m2) takes just 1 dry day!
Our Resin Bonded Aggregate system is designed to have the appearance of natural loose stone but its not loose - its bonded. It has a textured finish and typically is 5-6mm in depth
The Process for Resin Bound Aggregate
*Suitably prepare surface by removing all loose material.
*Surface must be clean and dry.
*Put 50kg of desired aggregate into pan mixer and then mix 2 pack epoxy together and empty into mixer.
*Mix for 5 minutes.
*Pour resin bound aggregate onto application area and using a trowel level it into place.
*Scatter anti slip grit on the surface.
*Curing is complete (usually in 4 hours) and can be driven on in 12 hours.
*Our Resin Bound Aggregate system is permeable and leaves a flat smooth finish.
*All of the aggregate is covered with resin so there is no loose stone.
*Pedestrian applications are typically 15mm in depth and vehicular applications are typically 20mm in depth
